Nice photo! Thanks! :) Yeah, Iris Gal, I too, have heard HONOR hasn't done well in some areas and gardens. Here it was an irreproachable rose as well. I grew it for about seven? (I'm guessing) years; it bloomed respectably, didn't have a big thrips problem, nor ANY disease problems EVER--even without spraying. (I have never needed to spray my roses with anything EVER--'course I live in a semi-arid area and leave plenty of room for air to circulate around the rose bushes I grow. Just one of the pluses of living here; a BIG minus is that loooong spell of C-C-C-C-COLD weather comin' around the corner.)

I love white roses, and 'Honor', when at its best, is unbeatable. I grew it (grafted) in a pot one year and it was a stunner. Now I have an own-root in the ground, and it's taking its time to strut its stuff. Does your 'Honor' consistently get thru a zone 5 winter OK? -Paul

Looks like a really good one, Iris. I hate thrippy flowers, and I usually get rid of them.

Paul, my own root HONOR consistently got through all (7?) of my zone 5b/6a winters OK. It was planted in the ground--up close to the south side of my home. As I recall (it being a band rose) it took it's own sweet time to really get growing.
