Tournament of Roses takes the prize. That flower looks exquisite despite the heat. My St. Patrick is in bud too- some of the new foliage burned, but the flower buds look ok.

I trimmed off most of the burned up flowers and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will cool a bit so the irises and roses can put on at least a one day show. I'm standing by with the camera.

It's heading up towards the 80F degrees we are expecting to get here today. Of course, that is nowhere near as hot as you have been getting. Whew, you guys have really been getting the heat!! I LOVE California, but that heat is a dealbreaker for me--just can't physically tolerate it anymore.

Grrrrr that heat!!! That first shot though looks kinda interesting. Don't cha just love how TOR just stands up so proud in that exhausting heat. Our heat is finally gone and I hope it stays gone til next year. Take care, Judy
