Just Window Shopping!

Armstrong Gardens had a 50% off rose sale (with coupon). There I saw...

CHANGE OF HEART - Nice form! Had a fragrance, though not a sweet one.

From Roses Only - By Azure

CATALINA - An apricot grandiflora

and FRANKLY SCARLET - A red floribunda that had powdery mildew on its new purple growth.

I didn't actually buy any of these. I was just window shopping.

BTW, these are all Jackson & Perkin roses, so if you want them, buy them now before the company goes completely under!

Very pretty! I had to replace my CHANGE OF HEART this season after my original one died. It's a real beauty, and worth getting. I also have CATALINA, which I got from J&P the yr it came out. Hasn't done much for me, but the couple of blooms I got last yr were drop-dead gorgeous. I think I just need to mulch and feed that bed a little better because many of the roses in it don't bloom much. Could also be that it's right in the deer's path and they tend to hit it pretty heavily. It's a crying shame J&P has come to an end, isn't it?
