Masha, what some really OUTSTANDING roses Regensberg & Sheila's Perfume are my favorites. I have just bought Angel Face and I can only hope that mine turns out as nice as yours. Thank you soooo much for sharing them with us.

I notice C.Marlowe looks nice after Golden Celeb. In the garden who does he look best with?

Clementine Seringe --- very soft and lovely.

Masha, I can't believe how many roses are still blooming for you right now! Lucky you (but I am sure it is not only luck but also the good care that you give to your roses)!

I love the special Autumn coloration of Bishop' Castle.

Angles Face looks so elegant that your photo makes me want to grow this rose again, after all it is a lavender rose ;-)!

I really like your bouquets. To be honest, in my eyes arranging pink and red roses together is quite a brave color move, but in your case it somehow works! Would you please share what roses are seen on this photo?

I find the "tussled look" of Reichspraesident von Hindenburg quite charming. Interesting unusual looking rose!

Elle stands out for me in her beauty!

Yves Piaget is just plain gorgeous. Have to get this rose sooner or later for myself.

Lots of lovely blooms. I like the look of Regensberg, kind of reminds me of Brilliant Pink Iceberg.

Masha, your roses always have a captivating display of color. May I ask what rose food you use? Merci!

Thank you, Christina. Frankly, combining red and pink doesn't usually occur to me either:-), I forgot to say that these are the roses I had to cut down after a storm (apples too). The roses are Trumpeter, Heritage and Yves Piaget.

Krista, thank you. I love Regensberg for its cheerfulness and unfussiness. It is perfectly clean and blooms all the time.

Juliet, pourquoi parlez-vous toujours francais?, L'anglais, n'est-il pas assez romantique? :-) As far as rose food is concerned, I use lots of things without any particular method or system. I use alfalfa, cottonseed meal, bone meal, and occasional Dr. Earth rose food (expensive in quantity for me), and also occasionally granular synthetic acidifying nitrogen. Also, coffee grounds, grass clippings and redwood compost. Anything to make the soil a little more acidic.

Masha, thank you for the info on rose food. I saw Dr. Earth in the garden nursery the other day and wondered if I should try it and now I will. I also have read much on how slightly acidic soil is preferred by roses. I will use more coffee grounds as well. It certainly works for you.

I have a habit of always throwing in a little French here and there when I speak. My parents grew up in the French Quarter of NOLA and they always added French words in all their conversations. I must admit, you are right. I find French more romantic than English, so I keep the tradition. :)

Merci Beaucoup,

Juliet
