| We had our first days of rain today and yesterday. Woohoo!
Seems only fitting that a rose named "splash" should be splashed . . . no? Here's Citrus Splash:
Ambridge Rose, soaked:
These next two are of a new sport of Cajun Moon (that should be available soon at Eurodesert):
Susan Daniel, in the shower:
Soutine:
Kiss of Fire:
True rose porn:

How large does your Ambridge get? Love the new sport. Nice photos! We may have rain tomorrow - crazy weather this summer.

Thanks guys/girls. Iris Gal, my Ambridge Rose gets about 4 feet tall, and grows rather upright and holds its own blooms up -- a well-behaved Austin, for once, and for that reason (and because it is highly fragrant), my favorite Austin. 1961Jim, my camera is just an old Nikon S10 point and shoot, probably 3 to 4 years old or so. I think the trick to getting good rose pics is to put the "Exposure" setting to negative 1.0 and to use the macro and anti-vibration features in the camera. This is my camera. And lastly, its very easy to use Picasa (the free Google software) for picture posting here, and they do a good job (and give you as much storage for free as you could possibly want). Kathy

I have Soutine on my wish list. I may have to add one of the sports of Cajun Moon too. Such a pretty pink. I always wonder though how stable a sport will remain. Tempting pictures of lovely roses. Good photography. And btw, you can send some of that rain our way.

Thanks everyone. Renee -- to copy Picasa code over here, you upload your photos from your personal Picasa folder to a Picasa web album, and then follow the directions in the "link to this photo" tab on the right hand side of the screen. It's easy.

Lovely!! I think Soutine is my fav. We've been having snow (snows then melts, repeat) which I like much better than rain. :) Carol

They are really very beautiful, and i think it is the reason why so many people love roses flowers.
