The Last Dance

The last dance is almost always special but then you have to wait till next time :-(

The weather has turned here and all the remaining buds and half opened flowers have turned to slime under the record downpours. Short of the Firethorn and Beauty berries I have to now wait for early next year and the daphnes and camellias.

This bouquet must last me for awhile..............so it was a real slow dance :-)

Think of winter, as a rest period, only to be better next summer.

Beautiful bouquets! Love the dahlias and hydrangeas. Mine didn't do that well this yr. Yeah, I'm not looking forward to winter either. My arthritic body doesn't like it, and I don't like not having my beautiful roses blooming. But, like Inga says, it's a rest period. Right now I need it more than the roses do tho!

It does hurt, but I guess we all need a break. We do have our pictures. I call them our winter roses!
