Just beautiful! I have two coming from Roses Unlimited next spring for a new arbor, which I haven't bought yet! Lol. Pictures I've seen of her are simply gorgeous. I had voles a couple yrs back and think they are the worst critters we could possibly have. Hate them. Sorry you have to deal with them but sounds like you've won the battle with them. Judy

Gophers sound awful, but Colette is gorgeous! I want to put my nose in her blooms lol.

I think you'll be pleased with her on an arbor Prettypetals. It's a pretty color for overhead and the growth is so much gentler than upright rigid climbers. May I never buy one of those again. Voles, aughhh. Yeah Bon, gophers, and voles, make aphids and rose slugs seem like ............. ? nothing?

Great pic. I have not grown her....yet. We have Connecticut's version of gophers: voles and chipmunks! Chipmunks are the cutest of all rodents and they will charm your socks off all while gnawing and girdling your roses to death. You will chuckle at their antics, especially scampering along your stone wall and stopping to nibble an entire bloom of Leverkusen. You willingly sacrifice a few blooms to these cuddly critters until you realize they are ruthless tick-infested murderers.

Ticks on chipmunks? I never knew. But girdling the canes! Terrible. Maybe the owls here keep local squirrels away. Thank goodness don't have them to do bulb damage. Do they also chew canes?

Chipmunks and squirels both carry ticks! That's is the very reason I don't put a squirel feeder in my yard.....ticks.
