| Oooh!! Such a beautiful rose!! It never did well here in my potted rose garden. I think it needed more heat. Nice to see a well grown one. I like both colors. Do you? Carol |
|
| Carol - I like both colors too. I like the bright reds, I think it's a cheery color, but I also like the October one, in a way it's more elegant looking. I'm hoping in the next couple of years mine will really take off, it wasn't quite as vigorous as I had hoped, but I guess a rose should never be judged on what it does the first year. I think CI would be about the most perfect red if it had a little more vigor. |

| Both shades look good! :) |

| I've never grown this rose but your photos sure tempt me. |

| Thanks everyone. Kate, your CI is beautiful. I feel exactly the same way, I get really excited when I know mine is going to bloom, but have gotten very impatient with it. Iris_gal it might do really good in your zone. |

| When I had it, it didn't have vigor nor fragrance. |
|
| Carol - That's interesting that yours wasn't fragrant, it is a very fragrant rose. But I've had several roses through the years that were supposed to be fragrant and I never detected much scent, if any. With all the roses I planted this year there were so many that were very vigorous for newly planted roses, like Tiffany, Pink Peace, Mellow Yellow, Perfume Delight, Tropicana, Double Delight, Peace, Sunsprite, Love Song, The McCartney Rose, Etc. that I expected that from all of them. |
