Still more blooms! Lots of pics...

This has been one of the best Falls I've seen in awhile. The temps get quite cold, especially at night, but some days have reached up to the low 70's. The roses are blooming and still growing. Could be that finally many of them have gotten acclimated and are happy to keep going as long as they can. Whatever the reason, it's really great to still have so many pretties blooming.

BILL WARRINER has been particularly gorgeous lately

BOULIE'S DREAM is still going strong... with several other blooms a couple feet above this one. It's peaking out at about 7ft.

BRANDY seems to be liking the cooler temps.

DOUBLE PERFECTION is one of my favorites from Certified Roses. Don't see it much anymore tho...

EMMA (de Meilland) looking good.

GINGER - a very vivid red-orange FL.

KONFETTI - a florist rose

LADY MAVIS PILKINGTON is a good orange-yellow one gotten at Palatine a few yrs ago. Not sure if they still offer it or not.

MILVA is an amazing florist rose. Probably one of my favorite oranges.

MISS BEHAVIN' - had a hard time getting the color right for some reason. It was much more intense and a bit more leaning towards the purply tones than usual. The size of the bloom was amazing too... about 5"!

MON CHERI - one of my original roses from 18yrs ago or so. Still looks good.

NEW ZEALAND - not the best bloomer for me. This was the first bloom all yr!

NOBILO'S CHARDONNAY aka PEACHY turns more yellow in cool temps.

"PERFECT LADY" - my name for a J&P test rose never marketed. It's a shame. Gorgeous pure pink blooms that are rarely out of bloom! Has a decent light scent too.

PERFECT MOMENT - love the intense veining on this one!

POETRY IN MOTION aka GIFT OF LIFE bloomed like crazy this yr.

SCANDIA - another good one from Certified Roses; also not seen much...

SUMMER SAMBA - a J&P FL that kinda went into obscurity. Altho, I think Roses Unlimited might have it now.

Beth, love your roses! Bill W looks so good. Mine needs to be dug up, potted, and pampered. Or I need to get a new one. It is a favorite.
Your oranges are so pretty. I just have no more room and need to sp ruthlessly this winter.

your roses are just Gorgeous and again soo many varieties. I love your BILL WARRINER, mine does OK but not the classical form as yours has. And MILVA is just Stunning with all its orange color and I love orange roses. Thanks for sharing them with us and keep them coming for as long as you can, they help us get through the winter.

Splendid pictures, Beth - as usual! I miss BILL WARRINER - what a lovely rose. I had it in a previous garden, but don't have it here yet. (And, considering my current state of crowding, won't be getting it!)

Three of your roses were on my Watch List when they took awhile to get going - so glad they all three showed me what they can do. I think MISS BEHAVIN' is the sleeper of the floribundas. It is impossible for me to get the color right on my camera also, but what a fantastic bloomer - and, to think, I didn't think it would do much at first! I won BOULIE'S DREAM as a door prize last year and put it in too much shade. Now I have moved it and am waiting to see it recover. And, MILVA is amazing - but it sure took awhile for the plant to thrive. It is on fortuniana rootstock. I don't know if that is what made the difference or not.

Anyway, here's to fall - and hope the blooming continues for weeks so we can see more of your wonderful collection!

Beautiful roses, Beth! You are lucky to have so many perfect blooms still. I love Bill Warriner, Boulie's Dream, Milva and Summer Sumba, but they are ALL really gorgeous. Thanks for posting.

Beth, wonderful roses as always! Bill Warriner looks perfect! Is it true that this rose has only a light fragrance?

I really like the subtle shades of pink of New Zealand. Too bad that it is such a stingy bloomer for you. I am wondering if this rose is not doing so well in CA or if you just have gotten a poor specimen?

How would you describe the differences between Emma (de Meiland) and Frederick Mistral? They look pretty similar to me.

Thanks for sharing your beauties!

Christina
