Time to start the ABC's of roses! Feel free to add your pics. We'll do one letter per week to spread 'em out over the winter season. I'm really looking forward to spring already.

    Superb group Beth!
    Here are a few pics that I don't think I've posted before.

    Apricot Nectar - an elegant, soft apricot floribunda, a fav.

    Abbaye de Cluny - at Filoli, I really liked its color and form.

    A Shropshire Lad - at Filoli, every time I see a pic I fall in love again. Alas, its flush was finishing when I finally saw in person. Still captured my heart. Understand it's a Tall one here.

    Don't have much to offer in this first category, but I want you know that I plan to play the Alphabet Rose Game. : )

    I'm cheating a bit on this one--Austin's Anne Boleyn--a petite and delicate beauty who did not make it through last year's brutal winter. I'll miss her.

    Beautiful roses, everyone! HMF gets a workout whenever I look at these threads!

    Beth, the colours in Anne Morrow Lindbergh and Anna are so delicate and lovely! Are they good plants for you? Also a great photo of Astrid GvH - that's one I've been ogling for a couple years now.

    Amandahugg, wonderful pic of Abracadabra!

    Yeah, there are quite a few new roses jumping onto my wishlist.

    Here's my baby Archduke Charles. My large plant didn't survive the transplant to the new garden. This one was purchased last winter and is currently about 2x2.

    Thanks Kate. There are so many beautiful roses, Brittie, I really like your Archduke Charles, so pretty, love Abracadabra too. Kentucky Rose, how do like your Artistry? I tried to order it a couple of times and it hasn't been available, It's a lovely rose.

    Redwolfdoc, AML is a rose I started from a cutting many yrs ago. She has stayed very short for me. Like maybe 2-3ft. But it could be the crappy soil. I haven't mulched it in a looong time! ANNA is a nice big tall plant, about 5-6ft. She blooms pretty well for being in the same area as AML and not getting much TLC. They both repeat fairly decently.

    Sara-Ann, I got Artistry and Scentimental from Edmunds' in 1997. I liked Artistry so much that later I bought another (locally?), which it was an underachiever and has been Sp'd. Isn't it amazing how many 2nd bush purchases are not as good as the original! This Artistry has good repeat, large blooms, great open bloom on bush, and some BS. This year I did notice that in a vase after several days the bloom fades to pink.

    I havenâÂÂt been over to the gallery much this year and didnâÂÂt realize I was missing the alphabet. IâÂÂm enjoying catching up. Love everyoneâÂÂs A pics!

    Archduke Charles (new for me this year and already a favorite)

    {{gwi:2131401}}

    AnnaâÂÂs Promise (got her late this year, but seems like sheâÂÂs going to be a good one)

    {{gwi:2131402}}

    Arethusa (Second year with this china, but so far doesn't hold up to our heat/humidity. Going to give her another year to try to adapt, but doubt sheâÂÂs going to stay. Lots of blooms, but they fry in less than a day here)

    {{gwi:2131403}}

    Aloha (mystery rose that forum members helped IDâ¦new late this year, but really loving it so far)

    {{gwi:2131404}}

    Apricot Drift (great landscape rose here)
