Mini roses in bloom in January before pruning

We are having a warm, dry winter and my mini roses are blooming like crazy. Really pretty, but I want to prune them back before Spring. Is it too late, or should I wait until this bloom cycle slows to cut the plants back?

As soon as this bloom cycle is finished. When I lived in FL. I would prune during February. If a bush was in bloom, I would wait until it was finished. Never bothered the mini's one bit.

Why do you prune them? Is there any benefit?
