water them more than the right amount. They need a lot of water when freshly transplanted. Are the canes themselves still green despite the leaves falling off? You may also wish to shade them until they recover a bit. You may want to mist them a couple of times a day with a water bottle or hose end sprayer that has a mist setting, also.

I am hesitant to ask other questions you might find offensive, but... When you planted them, did you try to separate them at all(often the walmart type minis are three or four little plants all together in the pot)? Were you very carefull when removing the pot not to pull on the plant to take the rose out of the pot, instead turning it so that the plant could fall out? Pulling on the plant to take it out of the pot (as seen repeatedly on one or more of HGTV's gardening shows!) can damage the plant's connections to its root structure irreperably.

As long as you still have some healthy green canes, the loss of leaves is not irreperable damage and, with the steps above, you should be able to save them.

Believe it or not overwatering can cause minis' to lose all of their leaves.Not realizing this is the problem can lead to even more overwatering.Once the cycle has started you will lose the leaves but they will grow back.Check and be sure they really need watering.

I never have luck with any plants that come from Wal-Mart. Makes me wonder, why do I keep buying from them?

I'm thinking that you still have them indoors, is that correct? Roses are outdoor plants, no matter how cute they look in the store. Also, they are probably going through shock from moving out of a greenhouse environment into a home. See this thread, My mini may be dying for more information.
