Twister Miniature rose and container

I am thinking of planting a climbing miniature rose in a large pot this spring. I was wondering what size pot would be large enough for the rose and would a half wine barrel be big enough?
Does anyone have any experience with Twister climbing mini rose? It is sold at Pickering Nurseries. I only need one, but I think I would have to order 3 minimum from them.

It would be fine in a half wine barrel IMO. My minis would love the luxury ! It is a pretty good rose, I can't really knock it. Good Luck!

Thankyou lookin!
Now, I only hope that it will overwinter ok, if I put it in my shed. I'm going to try to create a red, white and blue display out of it. I might try some geranium rozannes around the perimeter, or maybe in separate pots placed around the barrel.

kentstar - I mostly grow big roses--particularly the shrubs since I am a no-sprayer. Anyway, I grow a lot of container plants -- even have some of my big roses in containers What are you going to put in the container for the rose to grow on? Thanks for answering - Barb

I bought an umbrella trellis from J&P's this spring. It's a 36 inch trellis, so is somewhat small but that's ok to start with.

Here is a link that might be useful: umbrella trellis
