Erin Alonso is an excellent solid yellow. Ty is another good one.

You probably won't get a lot of fragrance from a mini.

I would look into a few of the compact Austin roses such as Molineux or Tamora. They wouldnt get bigger than 3 ft, especially in your zone. Strong fragrance is hard to come by in a miniature rose. Good luck! : )

Yellow mini's have been more vigorous than other colors. Most fragrant- Pacific Palisades, followed by Bit O' Sunshine. Long lasting flowers- Sequoia Gold, Baby Eclipse. I don't know if they are available anywhere, though I would suppose Sequoia Gold would still be available from Sequoia Nursery. PP got tall with many blossoms clustered on the ends of the canes. SG is more of a lax rambling plant.

I like Sequoia Gold. Lovely color and form, and the bloom lasts. If you like a blend, Rainbow's End is a lovely mini. I am not sure about fragrant minis?
