rose trees

Any good ideas for a beautiful rose tree that needs to be potted in my back yard in the northeast corner? Also, what size trunk would be best? I've seen 18, 24 and 36 inches advertised. I'd like to have a pretty high trunk so it gets the afternoon sun well. My pots are about 21 inches in diameter. I still am undecided as to which red I should order. They all look so beautiful.
