There's a great link that everyone posts in response to these messages - I'm a newbie at mini roses, but I still think it's great. You're in a good climate, put that puppy outside, with plenty of water. It'll be fine.

At this point it looks dead. There are no leaves and all the buds are wilted. I don't get it... it looked healthy. This happened over 3-4 days, and it's been next to a big window....

Sounds like transplant shock and maybe overwatering. If the canes (stems) are still green, then it's still alive. when roses are moved (whether from a pot into the ground or from pot to pot or from ground to ground) they often will lose all of their leaves within a day or so, and then will grow new ones. It just depends on the variety. So, make sure there are no air pockets around the roots in the larger container, and if the soil is moist, don't overwater it.
