Do miniatures set rose hips or do they "self-deadhead"?

My Apricot Midinette has some spent blooms that already self-pollinated. I haven't deadheaded some blooms yet to see if they are gonna set some hips, but I checked this morning and the spent blooms look dry. Is this normal?
