After order is received how to go about planting

Okay, I plan on doing my 1st order today for a few minature roses. When I receive them can I just plant them outside or should I live them in for a while. I am in zone 4 and will probably order from the Uncommon rose so that I can get a few different ones.

OK, I live in zone 9 so take what I suggest with a grain of salt. Usually the minis come in tiny little pots that dry out very quickly! I like to put them in the next size pot up, usually 4". I use a soilless mix so I know exactly what I'm getting. They have a number of different soilless mixes at home stores. Some even have fertilizer and insecticide in them. Don't put them outside if there is a danger of them getting too cold but gradually get them use to full sun over 10 days to 2 weeks.
