Intensive Care for Minis

| I need advice. My Denver's Dream, a band from last year which is brown and looks utterly toasted crispy by winterkill, appears to have a tiny basal shoot coming up from the roots.
Is there anything I can do to assist it, other than keep it watered? Would lightly covering it with straw or something help, or should it be left well enough alone?
Cheers,

| I've seen more minis killed with tlc here than I care to think about. I resist all impulses to help the little critters out. The only help I give them is if we have temperatures forecast in the teens. I'll put a cardboard box over them at night and remove it the next day. |

| Alright, then. Nothing but water and tough love for Denver's Dream. Thanks! Michelle |
