Hi Joet - did you get any responses from NE? I too emailed them about my Jerry O red mini...could not detect the strong scent that was discribe in their catalogue. I've ordered from them many times and really think they have beautiful healthy plants.

I think I spoke to quickly about Merlot. The first bloom was too pink BUT the second bloom was the right color. I haven't heard from Nor'East but I am sorry I doubted them. I have been buying minis from them for over twenty years and never had a bit of trouble with them. I think the ones they are sending out today from California are bigger and better than the ones from New England years ago.

I've noticed a lot of roses' blooms look different at first. Good to watch over several bloom cycles. I got some minis in November, one of which, Memphis Music, still hasn't bloomed. It's probably still establishing a good root system, but it's hard to be patient. I was very excited to order this one because of the unusual striping and the terrific bloom form and holding power. But I'm still waiting... One of the others from November only just bloomed a week ago. It's supposed to be white with a touch of pink, but the bloom was pale yellow, which then faded to white. It's a sister seedling to the yellow rose Butter Cream. I'm still not sure if I have a mis-labeled rose. Hmm...
