I pruned my minis way down in fall...did I prune too far?

In fall I pruned my minis down like I do my perennials. I stored them over the winter in the garage. They all show growth and I have taken them out of the garage. I'm concerned now that I pruned them too far. Will they grow enough to look like a mini? I just read that I should have pruned them in the spring and only cut out the dead canes. Any more detailed information on pruning would be appreciated. Thanks! Sue

Most roses are quite resiliant to heavy pruning. I bet they'll be just fine.

If they're showing new growth they should do fine. But remember, they are bushes not perennials so don't be so drastic next time. It's better to prune in spring.

Mini's are tuff little buggers! I know folks that have them outside, and have run over them with a lawnmower to prune them in the spring and they have been just fine!
