hanging basket mini's

i have 14 baskets full of mini roses this year just to see if they are all that and a bag of chips. so far they are looking great. i am using ones suggested for use this way; ones that will sprawl over. it sure beats 25-35 bucks per normal HBasket that you throw out in 6 months. this way i have returning roses each spring that only set me back around 13 bucks per container. P.S. my neighbours do not have any.

Mini roses in hanging baskets is a great idea, thanks. I avoid hanging baskets because of the price when you start buying enough to make an impact, wow. But mini roses, good idea...

Sounds like a great idea. Which cultivars are you growing in baskets? And, are there a few fragrant miniatures that grow well in hanging baskets?

i have asked my rose nursery for ones specifically to use in HB's, and they sold me:
3 hot pants
2 pandemoniums
1 green ice
1 nana's rose
1 carley
1 orange honey
1 cheeky monkey
2 sweet chariots
1 orange patio wonder
2 unnamed home depot babies

i can honestly say that every one that they recommended looks proper in the basket, as they have a tedency to sprawl. considering that i transplanted them twice in a two week period, they are doing really well (that is another story with a good lesson in there. )
