miniature roses indoor/outdoor

I just got a minuature rose. I put my rose outside during the day and bring it in at night so the deer want eat it. Is this OK to do. I've been told that it is not good to do this.

| Eventually, it will want to be outside. They are not true houseplants, they are meant to be outside. Deer, though, are a big problem everywhere. |
