minis in pots...winter protection survival?

| In Zone 6, if you plant minis in pots and leave them there for the winter, do you do winter protection with mulch and what are the chances for survival? I have never wintered roses in pots before. Thanks. |

| Just bury the pot and dig it up in spring. Our vegetable garden is the spot we use. |
