Miniature Roses

I keep killing minis!

I planted 3 minis this year. 2 parade roses that I potted & watered outside. Both died a slow death. I also have a "Royal White" that I bought at Lowe's. It is limping along. Not putting out new buds, a couple new leaves, and lots of yellowing leaves. I worry I may kill this one too.

I grow lots of hybrid teas & shrub roses and they do fine. So it is just the minis that I can't grow.

I just fell in love with some Minis that I saw at a recent rose show and would like to get a couple plants from Nor'east minis.

Any advice? Why do I keep killing these darn minis. I water them every other day in their pots so they don't dry out. And I haven't fertilized them much. Just a touch of fish emulsion.

Watering every other day is too much. Soil should be moist, not soaking wet. No fertilizing until you see new growth, not even fish emulsion.

Find the "how to save a potted gift rose" thread and follow the directions. That will help.
