Dried up disaster

So my mini rose plant was looking a little wimpy...I put in out on my fire escape and it seemed to respond well with a bunch of new leaves. Unfortunately I went away for a few days and when I returned it looked completely shriveled and dead! But the stems are still green...How can I revive it?

Water it, don't fertilize it, keep in out of direct sun until new leaves appear. You can't let the soil dry out.

This might get to you too late but you CAN over water your rose! You want to let it get mostly dry before you re-water. If the soil is too wet it will get root rot/fungus and kill it for sure!
