Miniature Roses

Moving Minis to another location

Hi

I have three minitaure roses doing great and have just broken dormancy. I would like to move them to another location. Should I do it now or wait till they are dormant as I dont want them to be killed during the move. Any help is appreciated.

I have been moving roses and other plants around without problem (they are breaking dormancy here)... IMO, better to do it now while it's still fairly cool.

I would also use vitamin B1 to lessen shock and stress of transplanting, seemed to help mine, certainly won't hurt and I moved 25 of mine and they were all blooming.

Do it now. Water the plants very well, try for 24 hours in advance. Dig the new holes. Dig around wide enough to get all (or most) of the root ball of the roses, and don't be afraid to dig wide and deep. When you plant them in the new location, make sure to water them in well and press down to avoid any air pockets. Keep the plants watered. Good luck.
