A LOT of Moore roses available

Posted by cnetter z5 Co (My Page) on

A lot more Moore roses became available last night on Noreast, some of which I haven't seen available in ages, plus a few from other hybridizers.

If I had the space, the time, the money and a good back...

I was up until 11pm looking at the site, and wishing I had waited 2 days. I had already placed an order, and would have gotten more last night if I knew where to put them. I wish they had "Incognito" I want that one above all others right now.

GAH!!!! And I just placed an order. I had ordered 3 plants of Paintbrush from Sequoia before they closed, and they sent the wrong rose. Of course they were closed by the time the plants bloomed, so I was stuck.

Now Nor'East is listing it--and I just placed an order YESTERDAY!!!!! I'm going to slink off and grumble many dirty words now.

I spent a couple of hours looking up pictures for the roses on HMF... It was fun...

My order is in cnetter. THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING THEM. It is one big order.I have the time, the money and a good back ... I do not think I will have room for all of them. Even the non Moore roses were surprising! I never thought I would see a store known for minis selling Lady Banks ... too big for my Southern Yard. A truly amazing list. Can you tell me anything about Mary Shields ? I do not see her on HMF, is she a Ralph Moore rose?

Nevermind, I looked, and she is indeed a Moore rose. She was not listed on HMF ... or I looked her up wrong. Can anyone put a date to her?

Darn, I thought I fixed that. It should be Marie Shields.

The date for Marie Shields is 1988. That is when she was registered by Ralph Moore with the ARS.

Thanks Phil and cnetter,
I could not reply to my own post a second time without someone else replying. Guess that's a good way to stop mega posting. I figured it out after a few minutes by typing Shields in HMF roses.

Looks like, if goes correctly , I will be getting 225 minis ( the Ralph Moore collection, Pennies From Heaven, and a few other odds and ends ) I have never gotten this many minis at once, but it will be fun trying to deal with a collection of that size.

Another way to get around the
"can't post after your post"
is to change the title a little bit.
