Can This Rose Survive

| We've had this Parade Mini Rose inside in a west facing window since April. It's never been outside except to take these pictures. We transplanted it from the 4 inch pot it came in to the 8 inch pot it's in now, and it had been doing great for the last couple months. It gets fertilized with Schultz Liquid Rose Food once a month and is kept watered and never been let to dry out. The last few days it has gone down fast - turning yellow and developing white powder behind all the buds. Would putting it outside during the day help or hurt? Can anything save it at this point? Here's a couple pics. Thanx for any help.

| The "white powder" is powdery mildew a fungal disease. That could be the reason for the yellowing. Another reason for the yellowing leaves could be spider mites, turn the leaves of the plant over and look for specks that look like black pepper. For the powdery mildew, you can try a milk spray. If you have spider mites, try spraying them with water. Low humidity leads to the appearance of mites, you might try sitting your plant on top of a pebble tray. Roses really are outdoor plants. Really. |
