Suggestions to plant between mini roses?

I am planting/have planted a bunch of micro minis and am looking for something to plant in between them that doesn't take away from their beauty but helps fill in when they're young and not in bloom.

Anyone here have anything they thing compliments them well? So far I have different shades of pinks and white. Will be adding reds and yellows later. Looking more for size suggestions than color. I'm not picky with color combinations.

Thank you :o)

Oh that's actually a great suggestion. I think it's an annual here in my zone, but I still might consider doing that. Thank you!

creeping thyme-- Thymus praecox would be lovely and should work in your zone, I think.

I also think wild violets/ pansy as long as they don't over crowd

any type of onion is good because the aphids don't like them. i have chives in my mini beds. One i love it in food and anything that the spiders don't like I'm good with.
