rescued grocery store rose

A friend brought over one of those grocery store mini roses at the end of April. I thought it was very pretty so I planted it a few days later and have treated it like any of my other HTs.

It has been about a month and I believe there has been some foliage growth, it looks bigger, but no buds anywhere in sight. The new growth is not red like HT growth would be. How patient do I need to be?

be patient and continue caring for it like your other roses and it should do fine it takes mine about 2 years to grow into nice size bushes.
