'Work of Art' is definitely not thornless! They are few and relatively far between, but there will certainly be some thorns.

Thanks. I'm not sure where I got that idea, and I threw out the catalog after I got my order. It's lovely, anyway, so I guess I'll just have to keep it well pruned or move it to another, less dangerous, location.

I just got Work of Art too. I originally looked into it after reading a claim on this forum that it was thornless and by the time I noticed none of the catalogues called it that I had decided I wanted it anyway. I have been hoping that at least it won't have too many thorns since all my space is high traffic. Right now mine is fresh out of the shipping carton and tiny (and with no thorns for now). How long before yours started to grow and how big is it after 3 months?

I guess I'm not crazy if you thought it was thornless, too. The tallest cane on mine is now about 2 feet high, and another strong new cane is a little over a foot. I've had about half a dozen flowers, and they're very pretty apricot/peach. I think it's a keeper. It started slower than the others, though.

Thanks Mljan. That sounds like a keeper to me too. I'm glad I got it and I'll be waiting eagerly for blooms in August it sounds like.
