My mom gave me 9 of the common 4in. grocery mini roses tonight. Each pot contained 4 plants, about 6" tall. She said that they were in a water filled foil wrapper, dripping wet. After 3 days at her house they were still soaked.

I followed FleurSuzies (?) advice to the letter. So, I have a new ring around my umbrella tree; 2 plants in each hole, separated by 12". They'll get bright dabbled mornings/shaded afternoons and moderate water there. No direct rays will ever scorch them.

Any other advice? We're in a monsoon cycle right now, with temps down in the 90's and high humidity. Since they were gonners in the pot-mix soup it was worth the risk of planting now, I hope.
