 o
sucker from root graft?

Is it common practice to graft minis? Given their alleged hardiness I would find this redundant. Yet here I am with Jeanne la Joie and Snowfall in a pot together -but only for this year. A cane has shot up and it looks like it means business. Very healthy, straight and strong. No sign of a bud or potential bud and it is noticeably thicker. Nor is there any sign of lateral branching from it either. There are strawberries planted in the same pot so I cannot currently get a good look at the base without upsetting things, so I cannot see if there is a graft or not. Any thoughts?

Minis are not usually grafted, but I have occasionally run into a grafted plant here and there. Where did you buy them?
