Miniature Roses

Unknown tiny pink rose

Hi! I was wondering if you can help me ID this little bitty rose. My SIL gave a cutting of it to me and she has no idea what it is. I've had it about 2 years now & it is about 3 feet high. It loses its leaves in the winter and then comes out w/ new ones in the spring. They are longish leaves. There are no thorns on this plant at all. In the spring they have the sweetist, tinest little pinkish/white flowers on them which I think are roses. I saw a flower that looked like it in the Summer 2008 Country Gardens magazine. Someone writes aobut "shrub roses". The flowers sure do look alike even though my plant goes in more of a firecraker way of growing. I'm sorry I don't have any pics of it. I'll be sure to make some next year. Thanks!

Hi

Without a picture it would be hard for anyone to ID your rose. May I suggest you contact your local rose society or go the the HelpMeFind roses web site (link below) and using their advance search section you may be able to ID it.

Cecile Brunner, in bush form, fits the description including being thornless. It also roots fairly easily from cuttings.
