Over winter

I bought two mini roses at the grocery store -one died and one survived. I have no idea what kind it is except it is pink. Can I plant it in the ground? (it has been out side for months)or will it survive the winter?
Thanks in advance

RE: Over winter

if it is in a bigger pot place the pot in the garage east side window of you have one or perhaps the basement a week prior to the frost if it is still in that tiny pot I wont even mention what I am thinking. The good news is at least you had a small rose for a few weeks
