My mini's don't form hips

Does anyone know why my miniature roses don't form hips after they bloom? I'd like to save the seeds and try and grow some roses from them. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joe.

Some minis "DO NOT" set hips, no matter what you try.

Just keep trying different varieties and you may find out.
Also remember that many varieties do not set seeds very well in their first year.
On one of my seedlings first year (I had 50 plants of it for seedparents) I got only one take out of 20.
In the second year I had 18 out of 20. So try mature plants which might help.
Good luck for NEXT season.

And the seeds that you get from those plants won't be true to that variety, you could get someething else totally from each seedling, since they are hybrids. The only roses that produce true to seed are the species roses. Interesting to try anyway.
