Jasmine, I find Gigi and Nidia look so similar. Would be grateful if you can help me identify which one I have. (sorry first pic a bit out of focus)

Gigi and Nidia do look similar. To find out which rose I had took a bit of detective work. I contacted Poulsen Roser A/S and was told that Gigi was much more widely distributed in the U.S. than Nidia. Just to be certain, I used the Where to Buy Our Plants page on the Poulsen Roser website to find the producer that supplied the market where I had purchased the rose. Their name was Rocket Farms and their representative shared with me that at one time they grew Nidia, but currently only grew Gigi. So that confirmed it!

The market manager at Poulsen Roser A/S was named Ghita Krage and very helpful. I let her know that at that time, there weren't any photographs of Gigi or Nidia on Help Me Find Roses and she emailed me stock photographs to post. Take a look at both. To me, it looks like Gigi has a looser center than Nidia. Perhaps you can contact Poulsen Roser A/S and they can help you confirm the identity of your rose. Here is a link: Poulsen Roser A/S Contact. Jasmine, thanks for answering. I had a look at the 'Where to buy' but they don't have anything listed for Switzerland so that rules out contacting the grower. I did however have a look at the photos on their website again and I think you are right. Gigi definitely looks like it has a looser center! I hadn't noticed that before. They also give the bloom size as 5-8cm for Gigi and Nidia as around 5cm. I am going to wait for the next bloom to make sure but I think this is GIGI.

I think you are right, Sharlene :) Here are some more photographs of my Gigi rose, but they are a much deeper red in person. I think they looks like yours.

The color of Gigi reminds me of deep red pomegranate seeds. I'm unable to capture it with my camera. It has long lasting, perfect form. I love this rose.

This Gigi wasn't allowed at a rose show, because it isn't registered by the American Rose Society. It wasn't my entry. I like the artist pallet display though.
