To Circle a Fountain

| I've never really grown minis before other than an occasional few in various pots or planters. I have a circular pool around a three tiered fountain that I have tried various other flowering plants such as dahlias and hardy geraniums and verbenas etc. but have just never been content with the result. The area is somewhat formal so I'm trying to pick minis both for shrub shape and flower color. I'd like them to be 12-18" or so and sort of compact and mounding.
My local supplier seems to stock a lot of what Weeks carries so I've been looking at using a combination of around a dozen from these varieties to circle the fountain......
Tiddly Winks
Coffee Bean
Gingerbread Man
Heartbreaker
And one or more of these Santa Clauses:
Ruby Ruby
Warm and Fuzzy
Santa Claus
I'd really like this to be my "LAST" fountain experiment so any advice would be muchly appreciated :-) |

| I'd really like this to be my "LAST" fountain experiment The "LAST" realy makes me cringe Try to make sure that the mini has been growing well in your zone for "at least five years" in time with out resorting to "shovel prunning" ? |

| I'll bump this up for someone more knowledgeable since I'd like to hear the answer also. |

| I was about to pose a similar question, only I wanted 12"-18" for around a small statue in the middle of my herb garden. Only difference is that I'm zone 5 and need something winter hardy. Very disease resistant, too. Hope someone can help us both out. |

| Let's not hold our breath though, it's already been 90 days and no takers yet ;-) |

| Well, no help so far here, so I researched & researched. I decided upon 'Minnie Pearl' ARS rating 9.5 and grows up to 2' I ordered from High Country Roses. |
