I know it's an Austin, and it isn't a climber, but I don't know what it is, and I want another when I move! Help?

If it doesn't have much of a fragrance, then my guess is Charlotte.

The flowers on this are more of an apricot/tangerine than they are yellow. Also, it does have a very nice scent. I tried posting a couple more pictures, but apparently there's a one picture-per-thread limit.

Port Sunlight has 90 petals, apricot inside, lighter at the edges. The leaves and stems are bronzy red when young, then turn dark green. Rich tea fragrance, upright growth 5 height and 3 feet wide. Flowers are smaller than other Austins, 3" max. Does it sound like yours?

Hm. I'll have to look at the leaves... The smell is nice, yes, and the 3 inches max is right. I'm also looking at pictures of the Tamora and wondering.

How long have you have the rose? That will help narrow down what was available. Take a look at Pat Austin, Evelyn or Abraham Darby, common Ausins which would have been sold at garden centers. Recent Austin apricots are Lady Emma Hamilton and Tea Clipper.

I think it might be Charles Darwin. I have 22 Austins It looks the closest to it.
