If you can post some pictures someone here may be able to ID them. My other suggestion would be to contact someone in your local rose society and have them come out and look at them when they are in bloom. They should be able to at least give you some idea of what type of roses they are. Check on the American Rose Societies web site. You can find a local society on there or they also have a contact list for a local Consulting Rosarian who can help you too.

Thanks for the tip. The plants are dormant right now, if I post a photo, can they be ID even though they are dormant?

Seil gives good advice.

A photo of a dormant plant wouldn't give us enough to go on for an identification.

You'll want to wait until they are blooming again, then have a rose expert in your area see if they can figure out the variety.

Thanks for the advice and info.
I just looked at my roses today...lots of swollen buds...no dear nibbles...yet.
I am trying a concoction with eggs, milk, garlic, pepper, oil, and soap to try to keep the dear from eating them...we'll see what happens.
