thanks for the reply. yes the flowers are small and red cascade looks like it, but i have read that it is considered to be a miniature. my plant is almost 2m high...could it be that red cascade is not a miniature after all????

I found it a bit confusing too when I was trying to I.D. my own Red Cascade a few years ago until I got to reading further. It's just that it's not so cut and dried, some roses don't fit so neatly into the categories.

The way I understand it is miniature = small bush, small flowers, small leaves.

RC has small flowers and leaves but long canes.

Some places call it a climbing miniature. I read Ralph Moore introduced it as a weeping mini. If left to it's own devices it wants to be groundcover. Or the long canes can be trained up an arch or pillar or down a fence. Weeping, climbing or sprawling, just depends on what you do with them. But it's flowers and leaves keep it in the mini category.

I have never seen The Fairy in person but the pictures of it do look very similar to the pictures of your rose.
