Seeking ID of two roses

Hi! i have two roses that came without a label so i don't know their ID. I hope someone could help!

The first one is a small shrubby rose. The flowers are small and come up a soft pink color. Sometimes they turn white as they age. No fragrance. It is in bloom since last spring (that was the time i bought it). Following there are two photos of the plant:

the second one is a rose which has long stems with a somewhat spreading habbit if left unstaked. I don't know if you can call it a groundcover, since i bought it all tied up on a stake. The flowers are deep red and scentless and they appear in different times throughout the whole year. There are two pictures:

any ideas?
thanks in advance

Hi harryharry. If the flowers on the red one are small also, it might be Red Cascade. Donna

RE: Seeking ID of two roses

thanks for the reply. yes the flowers are small and red cascade looks like it, but i have read that it is considered to be a miniature. my plant is almost 2m high...could it be that red cascade is not a miniature after all????

RE: Seeking ID of two roses

I found it a bit confusing too when I was trying to I.D. my own Red Cascade a few years ago until I got to reading further. It's just that it's not so cut and dried, some roses don't fit so neatly into the categories.

The way I understand it is miniature = small bush, small flowers, small leaves.

RC has small flowers and leaves but long canes.

Some places call it a climbing miniature. I read Ralph Moore introduced it as a weeping mini. If left to it's own devices it wants to be groundcover. Or the long canes can be trained up an arch or pillar or down a fence. Weeping, climbing or sprawling, just depends on what you do with them. But it's flowers and leaves keep it in the mini category.

that's my impression of the plant too. thank you very much donna
P.S. do you have any idea on the first rose?? could it be "the fairy"???

RE: Seeking ID of two roses

I have never seen The Fairy in person but the pictures of it do look very similar to the pictures of your rose.
