Good day everyone!!

Would you please check this lovely rose I found at my father's place the other day and see if you can identify it.

Looking on the net I thought it looks rather similar to ' Abraham Darby ' http://www.davidaustinroses.com/english/showrose.asp?showr=1 but then mine hasn't got many thorns when apparently Abraham Darby has big and red ones.

Then, I thought perhaps it would be ' Tea Clipper ' http://www.davidaustinroses.com/english/showrose.asp?showr=4340 but not sure at all either.

It's a big climber rose tree, at least 10 years old and the roses have a very strong fragance.

Thanks for any help identifying the rose.

Regards,

Jordi

Sorry but didn't know how to embed the photos here in this forum, hope this time I did okay and you don't have to click on the links to see the rose.

    These are the images above:

Ummm, yummy! It's lovely! It does resemble an Austin rose. Even the leaves do. Carding Mill and Charles Austin both have that apricot color and form.

It looks very much like my abraham darby. The pink and orange roses on one bush, and the yellow base on the pink bloom is exactly like mine. The fragrance of abe is powerful.

Thank you very much seil and lola-lemon for your help and responses!!

I think it can be Abraham Darby as it has a rich rosy fruity scent, beautiful fragance!!! but then it can be also this one too:

(pictures taken from the internet but look identical to my father's rose tree!!)

    or

and this one is named 'Crown Princess Margareta', also from David Austin.

    Have a nice weekend everyone!!

I have CPM- 2 actually and neither look like that internet rose.
My CPMs are orangey apricot , pale apricot and pale gold. The blooms get almst off white with age. She blooms in spray of 5 or 7 sometimes and her blooms are not nearly as big as abes.
Abe blooms deep apricot and deep pink on the same plant as well as some paler. I have had a nearly orange sherbet icecream color bloom right beside a rosy pink and also those which are two tone like your photos (pink outside, orange center) in one bloom as well. The base of the blooms is yellow. Like your fathers. The blooms are generally as large as most hybrid teas roses. they are not pale blooms overall.

If you have a rose that blooms med and small rosettes- averaging a large carnation size, which are apricot, or orangey leaning golden (not pink - tho maybe with a little rosy glow inside the cup) that fade almost off white- it's CPM.
But- perhaps others will pipe in with different results.

Fantastic lola-lemon for the big help provided, perhaps it's the CPM but in anycase I went to visit him again this morning and took more photos of the beautiful roses!

It IS very gorgeous! Wow- that's a rose that just makes one feel happy looking at it- doesn't it?

Well, if it's CPM, then your father is very lucky to have such a fine specimen.

.... Although, i've never grown it myself, i wonder if it could be the Romantica rose Polka. ?
Whatever it is, it's a beauty!
