Large Plant with Pink Roses

This is blooming profusely on our property. It must be on the irrigation line somewhere to be doing so well. Hard to reach due to the years of neglect it had.

Can you tell me what kind it is? It is so beautiful! East Facing.

Suzi, it's really hard to say from one photo of the bush. Do you have any other information about the rose? How old it might possibly be? Does it bloom only once a year or does it repeat through out the season? More pictures of all the bloom stages and leaves and canes and the entire plant would be helpful.

RE: Large Plant with Pink Roses

seil, sorry to take so long to respond. The first bloom is over. We just purchased the property, and it was built in the 80's. I have no way of knowing how long it has been there or when it was planted.

The house and property were seriously neglected through two foreclosures through the years.

I'll get back with another photo if it looks like it's going to bloom again. No dead heading. It's hard to reach because it's behind a fence, that is on top of a steep grade, and hard to access sideways because of giant junipers. Also, it is snake season, here in So CA.

How big is it, does it bloom a whole lot of blooms? Hard to tell, but it kind of looks like Belinda's Dream.

Are the leaves in the picture the roses or is it growing up through a tree or shrub?

Those are it's own leaves. It's huge! It had tons of blooms, but none now.

Looks like 'Mme. Cecile Brunner'.
