Name That Rose!

Two unknowns.

I recently purchased my house and two rose buses came with it. I trimmed them down heavily this winter because they were touching the roof. Now they are growing like crazy. I've purchased some rose fertilizer and put down some mulch. Now I would like to figure out what type of rosÃÂ© they are. I live in central tx north of waco if it helps.

Do they have any fragrance? Is it strong or can you barely smell it? If it is fragrant, what does it smell like (fruity, old roses, lemons etc.)

They're both hybrid teas and possibly climbing forms. The red one could be a number of things, Chrysler Imperial, Charlotte Armstrong or maybe Christian Dior. There are a number of red ones. The yellow one looks very much like Peace to me.

Do you have any idea when the previous owner purchased them? Try digging down around the base of the roses and look for a small metal tag wired onto the rose. Sometimes the ID tags get buried over time.

I agree. The yellow looks like Peace to me as well.
