| I was in Lowe's the other day and saw this rose, well I couldn't believe it! Just had to have it(even though it is freeze damaged.) Is this Spartan? I'm wondering if this is a mislabeled rose? I checked out Spartan on HMF and the blooms were close enough to make me wonder.....
Does anyone know what rose this might be? Kinda reminds me of an Austin or maybe a Hybrid perpetual? It has a strong rose scent, unusually big clean leaves, looks like it is going to be tall(the tops of the canes are bent over- hard to tell in the pic). Rose bloom

| Labrea, Much thanks for the pic and info. on Spartan. Spartan is very pretty, but I see what you mean, I can really see the difference in the color and bloom form from your pic. Does anyone think my mislabeled rose could possibly be Jubilee Celebration?? I was looking on HMF, and they look similar, but I didn't see any yellowing on the outer petals, just on the inside of the bloom. |
