| I rescued a huge old rose that had been bulldozed. Main canes bigger around than my ankle at ground level.
Right now it's forming round red buds, but I'm so excited it's coming back and too impatient to wait for the blooms. Maybe somebody here can give me a clue as to type, and I can try to match it up on a rose site when the buds open (?). The new growth has dark reddish canes and bright red, numerous thorns. Link has pictures of leaves. Many thanks! |

| Nope, going to need a lot more info. Picture of the blooms in bud, 1/2 open, and fully open, fragrance, pictures of the canes, general sense of whether the canes are stiff or flexible, height of the plant, spacing of the thorns. There are a lot of roses out there. |

| Many thanks. Going out to take more pics; bud should be open in a couple days. |
