Could be Folklore. Has the right coloring and my Folklore always does that weird guard petal thing.

Is your Folklore a glowing orangy color? Mine is bright orange with pink undertones.

I should add that from what I've read about Folklore and what I've experienced with this bush makes sense. It's supposed to be a climber(Maid of Honor), and mine is acting more like a leggy bush. It also has a very nice scent to it.

It is a pinkish orange color with a paler yellowy peach reverse for me. It's only a really hard bright orange in the hottest part of the summer. And yes, she is a leggy grower. Does yours throw sprays? Mine does all the time. I rarely get a nice long stem single bloom.

Yes, mine blooms in sprays, usually of 3 to 5 buds, but I also get a few scraggly branches with just one. Here's yesterday's blooms during the sunny part of the day. My camera is wierd...depending on the light, the colors come out differently. They look very orangy here with a definite yellow undertone that wasn't visible to the naked eye. It was actually more pink (which you can sort of still see).
