Reminds me of Theresa Bugnet. Are her canes reddish in the winter?

Wow, actually yes they are. A deep reddish color. I have also noticed that the new canes has thousands of tiny needle thorns while the old canes has less thorns but much larger.

It could be the Banshee that they suggested for mine below and I also found a rose called Paul's hymalayan Musk rambler rose that could be it.

First guess is best, third not even close. 'Paul's' is a Synstylae, with long canes and large clusters of many small flowers. The most familiar Synstylae to many Americans may be Rosa multiflora.
